Adenauer
The Mercedes Benz "Adenauer" had its premiere in 1951 in Frakfurt. It was named after the then German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer, who chose this model for his government limousine.
The engineers' aim was to build a car that would be ahead of the competition in style and technology and be the best car in the world! The Adenauer model stood out for its modernity and luxury. It had a very 'opulent' and spacious interior with lots of wood trim. Despite its large size, the car achieved impressive speeds (max. 160 km/h), and this was possible thanks to its three-litre engine.
The Mercedes Adenauer was also produced in two-door and convertible versions. The car was prized for its spaciousness, comfort and durability. To this day, the Adenauer still impresses anyone who drives it.
